Emirates Celebrates Making UK Amber List By Filming Flight Attendant On Top Of Burj Khalifa

This is the moment a brave woman in an Emirates Airlines flight attendant uniform celebrates the UAE making the UK’s ‘Amber List’ by displaying placards on top of the world’s tallest building in Dubai.

Emirates Airlines, the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), shared the video on social media with the message: “Reconnect with your loved ones or take a fabulous vacation. From 8th August travel to the UK gets easier.”

In the video, the brave young woman, who in reality is a skydiving adventurer rather than a real airline stewardess, is seen holding a pack of placards

She was named as skydiver and adventure influencer Nicole Smith-Ludvik, who also shared the clip on her Instagram page.

She wrote alongside the video: “This is, without a doubt, one of the most amazing and exciting stunts I’ve ever done.

“A big shout out to Emirates Airlines for your creative marketing idea! It was a pleasure being a part of the team!”

Like Bob Dylan’s famous video for ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’, the woman dressed as an attendant displays each placard in order, first reading: “Moving the UAE to the UK Amber List.”

She then displays whiteboards that read “has made us feel”, “on top of the world”, and finishes with “Fly Emirates”, “fly better”.

The camera zooms out to reveal that the apparent flight attendant is literally standing on top of the world at Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building in Dubai in the UAE.

An Emirates Airlines spokesperson told Gulf Today the filming on top of the tower was real and made possible by a number of local organisations.

The spokesperson confirmed that all safety measures were put in place for the impressive promo shoot.

On 8th August, India, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE, moved from Red to Amber, and seven countries including Germany and Austria moved to Green.
