Instagram women are having their faces replaced with the face of Elon Musk on this bizarre Russian Instagram page in what could become the next social media craze.
The idea was started by Russian graphic designer ‘Neural_tp’ who created an Instagram page in which all of the girls have been given the face of Elon Musk, 48, the founder, CEO, and lead designer of SpaceX; co-founder and CEO of Tesla, and co-founder of PayPal.
He was ranked 21st on the Forbes list of The World’s Most Powerful People as of December 2016.
‘Neural_tp’ put the images he created on an Instagram account – that only opened last month – and also includes under each girl thoughtful quotes supposedly by the Elon-Musk-faced ladies themselves. The images show them as they post pictures of their beautiful lives, doing everything from enjoying tourism hot spots or VIP dinners through to trips to the beauty parlour.
In an interview with Central European News (CEN), the creator of the site, ‘Neural_tp’ – who declined to give his real name, said: “I personalised a dozen pages of so called Instagram girls. I wanted for some time to put a spotlight on crazy mums and girls trying to make money selling everything from Chinese cosmetics through to business consultancy by showing how good looking they are.”
He said he decided to do the ‘Neural_tp project’ – which currently boasts over 25,000 followers leading local media to run stories on it – by using Elon Musk after noticing that actually there is a bit of Elon Musk’s face in every face – and so he just replaced the girls with the real Elon Musk’s image.
‘Neural_tp’ said: “It’s very simple, I used to see different photo collages with his face and realised that the face of Elon Musk suits everyone.”
After the project launched people bombarded the creator with comments saying they could actually see Elon Musk in their own female friends, and started to share images as well.
‘vitaliy_burbyga’ said: “Oh my God, this one looks so much like my sister.”
And ‘Typodar’ said: “Wow, she looks like my grandmother.”
Elon Musk has just unveiled his Starship prototype in Texas and said: “This is the most inspiring thing I’ve ever seen.” The Starship is destined to take people to the Moon and to Mars, and around the Earth in orbit, after it has completed all its test flights.
The famously optimistic entrepreneur has said the prototype should be ready for its Earth orbit test in “under six months”, a prediction he says is “accurate to within a few months”.
