This video seen over five million times shows a group of security guards being bounced up, down and side to side while trying to contain more than 50,000 dancing revellers at a packed electronic dance music festival.

The amusing scenes being widely shared on social media were filmed at VAC Festival 2019, which was held between 2nd and 3rd November in the city of Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province in Central China.

More than 50,000 EDM fans packed Wuhan Garden Expo Park for the two-day music festival, with security provided by the Wuhan Shidai Jingsheng Security Service.

Its uniformed guards were responsible for crowd control, and can be seen surrounding the venue while manning endless rows of metal barricades.

But as the music lovers dance up and down and side to side, they are seen shaking the barriers around the venue, bouncing the security officers with them.

The video shows one guard trying in vain to stabilise a crowd barricade by sitting on it, but he ends up nearly flying out of his seat.

Many of his colleagues suffer similarly as they struggle to keep the crowd barriers on the ground throughout the festival, which ran from morning to night.

The footage shows at least a few of the security guards managing to see the humour in the situation, cracking a smile as EDM fans scream and dance around them.

Wuhan Shidai Jingsheng said in a statement to local media that the scenes seen at the music festival were “common”.

It also commended its guards for “remaining professional”.
