This is the moment a youngster on an electric foot scooter is recorded going down a busy Moscow motorway at 90 kph.

The bizarre scene was recorded by an onlooking driver on the busy Yaroslavskoe highway in the Russian capital Moscow.

In the video, a scooter rider, who appears to be a young man but has not been identified, can be seen riding down the middle of the busy road. The camera then shows the driver’s speedometer at 90 kph (56 kph), with the scooter keeping pace.

Russian traffic regulations do not currently have any specific laws on regulating electric scooters’ usage in public traffic. Lawmakers in the country are still discussing the issue.

Bicycles are not allowed on Russian roads where the speed limit is above 60kph (37mph) as it is considered a threat to life.

Netizens were quick to react to the clip, such as ‘greyshadow’ who said: “One little pebble is enough for this guy to turn into processed meat.”

Another internet user named ‘Victor Anotolievich’ said: “This is a crazy teen.”

‘elena_serebrova_denisova’ said: “Stupid parents buy expensive and dangerous toys for their stupid kids.”

It remains unknown if the rider completed the stunt without incident, or if the authorities were made aware of the incident.
