The Culiacan Municipal Police told local newspaper El Universal that they had been called about the presence of a dead person in the driver’s seat of a car in the area.

El Universal report that the victim had previously been chased through the streets of the Pemex neighbourhood in the city of Culiacan by a group of armed men as he was in a car but had survived with injuries on 3rd July 2019.

The victim was the brother of the late Juan Guzman Rocha, alias El Juanon, considered by federal authorities as one of El Chapo’s henchmen, whose body was found dead in 2011.
