An Egyptian lawyer is filing a lawsuit against American pop star Jennifer Lopez over her raunchy “naked” stage outfits after she played a concert there.

Lawyer Samir Sabry was so offended by Ms Lopez’s stage gear – that she calls her “birthday suit” in this footage – that he is also calling for her to be banned from entering Egypt again, according to local media.

The famous lawman, who has been involved in several celebrity court cases, announced that he will file a complaint with the attorney general against the singer’s tour organisers.

Last week, Lopez performed a concert in New Alamein City in northern Egypt which Sabry believes showed the singer as appearing “naked”, according to local media.

The curvy 50-year-old pop star performed in a number of raunchy outfits that reportedly included many designed by Arab designers, including Egypt’s own Nagwa Zahran.

Sabry also criticised the timing of Lopez’s concert, which took place during the last 10 days of ‘Dhu al-Hijjah’ which sees Muslim devotees embark on pilgrimages to Mecca to visit the Kaaba.

He said: “It is unacceptable for some people to be (worshipping) in Mount Arafat while others watch a pop star perform in controversial attire.”

Before her arrival, Lopez’s visit reportedly caused a stir in Egypt when she showed support to Israel while visiting the country for a concert and family holiday.

Last year, Sabry and another lawyer filed a lawsuit against Egyptian actress Rania Youssef for wearing a revealing dress at the Cairo International Film Festival, according to local media.
