This is the moment a woman allegedly staring at her mobile phone while riding her e-bike accidentally headbutts a large hole in a car windscreen before riding off as if nothing happened.

The accident happened on the streets of Jinan, capital of Shandong Province in East China, on 25th November.

The female electric bike rider, who has not been named, fails to spot the parked hatchback and slams headfirst into the rear windscreen, creating a huge hole with her forehead, traffic camera footage shows.

The woman, who had reportedly been distracted by her mobile phone, quickly picks herself up and, without even inspecting the damaged windscreen, gets back on her e-bike and rides away.

The car is left with a large hole in the window as she flees, with reports saying she was not seriously harmed.

According to the authorities, the woman could have faced a hit-and-run charge for failing to remain at the scene of the crash.

However, the car owner did not file a police report of the incident as they were illegally parked on the side of the road and may have been punished for the offence too.

The police are not believed to be involved in an ongoing investigation into the incident.
