Dubai Police Add Luxury British Aston Martin Vantage Sports Car To Cop Fleet

The police in Dubai have added this luxury British Aston Martin Vantage to the fleet of superfast cop cars.

The latest addition to the Dubai police force will be joining an exclusive roster of vehicles that include a Ferrari, several Porsches, a Bugatti Veyron, some McLarens and some Bentleys.

The Aston Martin Vantage also boasts a custom ’77’ number plate which reportedly pays tribute to the United Arab Emirates seven emirates as well as to 007, James Bond’s code number, according to Emirati newspaper The National.

The addition comes just a few weeks before the new James Bond film, No Time to Die, opens in cinemas on 30th September.

Ramzi Atat, Aston Martin’s Head of Marketing and Communications for the Mena region said: “It is an honour to have an Aston Martin join Dubai Police’s fleet of supercars and the Vantage is the perfect model to make such a statement – purity at its finest, a hint of aggression, and engineering that pushes it to upwards of 300kph.”

The current Aston Martin Vantage features a 4-litre, twin turbocharged V8 engine. It has 503 hp and can reach 100 kph (62 mph) and 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is 314 kph (195 mph).
