This is the moment a drunk Estonian man apparently pummels his screaming wife on a flight from Egypt before two passengers intervene.

The video was filmed during a flight from Hurghada in Egypt to Tallinn Airport in Estonia on 14th December.

A spokesperson for the airport said the 24-year-old Estonian citizen, name not reported, was drunk on the flight and that he became increasingly aggressive towards his family and flight attendants.

As seen in the video filmed by another passenger, the man apparently pummels his screaming partner at the front of the plane.

Two burly passengers leave their seats to run to the front of the plane and stop the allegedly drunk man.

According to reports, the passengers managed to immobilise the aggressive man and tied him to a seat by improvised means until the plane arrived at Tallinn Airport.

After the plane landed in Estonia, the young man was taken into custody by border officials who escorted him to their offices before handing him over to the local police.

It is unclear what caused the man to lash out at his partner and what punishment he faces from the Estonian authorities.
