This is the moment a home owner arrives home in his car and notices a gun-toting group of men approaching before putting his foot down on the accelerator and nearly running them over.

The incident was filmed by the home owner’s CCTV camera in the city of Monte Grande in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires, and the footage was later posted on social media.

In the video, the man called Jorge is seen reversing into his driveway after just arriving home.

A white car suddenly pulls up outside his house and two men in a hoodie and baseball cap – with one reportedly carrying a gun – immediately jump out and appear to run directly towards the man, still reversing into his driveway.

The homeowner reacts quickly and changes gear before speeding at the approaching thugs.

The two suspects are forced to jump out of the way as the homeowner speeds past their parked vehicle with two other accomplices inside.

The would-be victim then speeds off down the road as the suspects return to their vehicle.

Jorge told local media: “Two of the thieves pointed guns at me and I tried to escape as quickly as possible. I broke my wing mirror when I scraped along the side of their car. The gate got hooked to the car”

Jorge also claimed that when he reported the incident in a nearby police station, he was told there was not a police car available to chase the suspects.

When he returned home, several policemen were standing at the entrance after finding a magazine and a 9mm bullet.

Jorge said “One of the thugs dropped it, it belonged to the one who pointed his gun at me.”

Meanwhile, the four suspects have not been identified and it is unclear if the local authorities are investigating the incident.
