A motorist has reportedly ploughed into a group of revellers outside a popular Dutch pub leading to several injuries.
The incident took place outside a pub in the town of Rijsbergen in the municipality of Zundert in the southern Netherlands.
Images show a group of people standing outside the pub at night moments before the motorist arrived on the scene and reportedly ploughed into them.
Several people were injured in the incident. The police did not say exactly how many were hurt, however, one pub-goer was taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to witnesses, the suspect left the venue, got into his car, and drove at the group of people standing on the pavement outside the pub.
The Dutch police are still trying to establish the circumstances leading up to the alleged incident.
Investigators are reviewing nearby CCTV footage as well as trying to track down the driver.
According to witnesses, the vehicle had a damaged windscreen and dents on the bodywork after the incident.
The suspect was last seen driving in the direction of Zundert.
According to witnesses, the motorist left in the direction of the municipality of Zundert.
The investigation is ongoing.
