This is the moment a bungling motorist ignores road works barriers in the middle of a road and drives straight into a 10 foot deep hole.
The unnamed male owner of the white saloon car plunged straight into the hole in the city of Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province in north-eastern China, late on 30th July.
The video shows his Chinese-made Changan saloon failing to slow down or stop before ploughing through the 3-foot-high barriers surrounding the ditch on Huagong Road in Harbin’s Xiangfang District.

The car pushes aside the fence and drops headlong into the hole, crashing front first into the bottom of the hole and ending up lodged vertically in the ditch, video of the incident shows.
Reports said the driver and his passenger managed to escape via the back door. They climbed out on their own and the motorist called his insurance company.
He told police that a “lapse in concentration” caused the accident, saying: “By the time I saw the barriers, it was already too late.”
The vehicle was later hoisted out of the ditch by a crane.
He is not expected to be punished for the blunder.
