This is the moment a serial speeder drives into a cop at a chaotic crossing on a frozen river before driving away.

The incident took place on the frozen Lena River connecting two regional localities – the city of Yakutsk in north-eastern Russia’s Sakha Republic and an urban locality in Nizhny Bestyakh.

The freezing temperatures in the area have turned the river into ice and Against all safety measures dozens of drivers decided to seize the opportunity and used the frozen river as a bridge.

In the video, dozens of cars can be seen crossing the frozen river, skidding across the surface with a police car stuck in the middle.

The police officer gets out of his car and runs towards a Toyota Wish passing close by but the driver does not stop.

The cop reaches the side of the car but bounces off onto the ground as it speeds away.

Local police said that the driver involved was charged with speeding nine times last year.

They are still looking for the driver. The police said that the ice is still not thick enough for driving on and added crossing it could cost drivers their lives.
