This is the moment a bungling drink-driving woman – with 43 fines under her belt – in a Porsche crashes into the side of a trolleybus at high speed with a ear-splitting thud.
The incident took place in the capital city of Chisinau in central Republic of Moldova and was recorded by the dashboard camera of a driver behind the trolleybus.
In the video, the bus can be seen stopped at a set of traffic lights when it then begins to cross the junction when they turn green.
As the bus crosses the junction, a black Porsche Cayenne can be seen approaching from the right at high speed and the driver does not slow down.
The SUV drives straight into the side of the trolley bus, sending the bus spinning 45 degrees in a cloud of dust.
Footage from the aftermath shows how the Porsche was left with its front side completely destroyed in the incident as onlookers work to rescue the female driver, named in reports as Svetlana Unguryanu.
Local media report she was taken to hospital and is currently in critical condition in intensive care. The passenger in the Porsche, Sergey Skriba, 34, reportedly died at the scene.
Reports state the driver had an estimated blood alcohol level of 0.215 grammes of alcohol for every 100 ml of blood.
The police said that at least 18 of the bus passengers had contacted medical services for help. All of them are reportedly stable, with none in life-threatening condition.
The driver reportedly has a criminal record for drink-driving, with a total number of 43 fines being issued in her name for drink-driving.
She was reportedly sent to prison for half a year, leaving a correctional facility in January 2019.
Local media state that the Porsche was being driven at either 120 kph (75 mph) or even 160 kph (100 mph), but investigators have yet to confirm the speed.
