This is the moment a drunk rider falls off his bike in front of not just one but four police officers – and is instantly arrested.

Traffic camera footage provided by authorities in the city of Nanyang in Central China’s Henan Province show the rider, surnamed Zhang, blundering his left turn in Xicia County.

The video shows Zhang coming around the bend in front of one of the police officer, who is standing on the street corner monitoring traffic.

Zhang immediately slips and slides about 10 feet as he crashes off his bike, inevitably catching the cop’s attention in the process.

The officer and his colleagues approach Zhang to help him to his feet and quickly realise he is smelling strongly of alcohol.

Authorities said they walked Zhang back to the police station and a breathalyser test suggested that he was well over the legal driving limit.

A toxicology report later confirmed this, and Zhang was detained for drink-driving.

It is still unclear what his punishment will involve.

Investigators said Zhang admitted to drinking prior to the crash.

He said he spotted the cop and attempted to speed away when he slipped.
