Spray what you like, but mum Aline Chicone really knows how to splash out on a good time.

Now this video clip of her getting an unexpected soaking as she poses for a photo has raised a huge social media smile with more than 16 million views within days.

The bizarre footage, filmed by daughter Samanta, shows Aline posing at the Alles Water Park in Pomerode, Santa Catarina State, Brazil.

Wearing a pink blouse and jeans, Aline steps under an arch of the water spouts and stops halfway to pose for a picture.

But moments later Aline ends up drenched as the water jets suddenly die down.

Samanta and another pal can be heard laughing as mum Aline unsuccessfully tries to outrun the jets only getting a worse soaking for her trouble.

The clip, recorded on 3rd January, clocked up more than 16 million views and 8,900 comments on TikTok.

Samanta, from Londrina, Parana State, said it was their first visit to the water park.

She told local media: “My mum didn’t expect the water to go down. She thought it would stay up all the time.”

Ironically Samanta captioned the clip ‘The photo that didn’t work.’

And Samantha revealed that her mum usually loves being photographed but refused any more snaps after her rinsing.

But social media users loved the video.

One, ’emanuellaferreir9′, commented: “The couple in the back already knew this was going to happen! They were just waiting for the moment.”

‘Nannis Carapia’ asked: “Wasn’t it easier to run forward? She would not have got that wet.”

‘momentos_80_90’ added: “Another victim of the water worlds. Only those who have experienced it know the adrenaline jolt it gives you.”
