This is the moment a biker flies through the air after swerving to avoid a crash and lands with a thud on the road where he remains motionless.
The dramatic footage was captured by a home security camera as the incident unfolded in the neighbourhood of Alvorada in the Brazilian city of Manaus on the afternoon of Monday, 27th September.
The footage shows how the passing biker, identified as Wilhame Victor, age not stated, swerves to avoid another motorcyclist doing a turn in the road.
He and his motorbike are then catapulted through the air and they scrape along the front of a house before the man’s helmet flies off and he lands on the road with a thud.
He is then seen lying motionless on the road having apparently been knocked unconscious as the heavyset biker who apparently caused the accident and a passerby run over to check if he is all right.
According to reports, paramedics subsequently arrived on the scene and took the injured man to an unnamed local hospital.
The news site Ecos da Noticia reported on Wednesday, 29th September that he remains in hospital in a coma. The report described his condition as “serious”.
It is unclear if the authorities are investigating the incident, and the identity of the man who apparently caused the accident has not been divulged.
