The so-called Donetsk People’s Republic has said that Russian planes and helicopters have attacked Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka.
The footage purports to show Russian attack aircraft and helicopters carrying out combat operations over Ukraine.
The images appear to show a number of Russian attack planes flying in the sky, with explosions then seen occurring on the ground, presumably on Ukrainian military positions.
The footage then shows what appears to be a number of Russian combat helicopters flying low to the ground and firing rockets at unseen targets.
The helicopters can be seen firing volleys of rockets for deploying flares to avoid being hit by return fire as they turn to fly away.
The images were obtained from the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on Friday, 10th March, along with a statement claiming: “Russian aviation strikes various targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdiivka area when corrected from the ground. Various types of aircraft and helicopters are used.”
We have not been able to independently verify the claims or the footage.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, has told Ukraine to stay out of Georgia’s politics.
The criticism comes after Ukrainian leadership expressed support for protesters in Tbilisi.
