Singer and influencer Alexa has been slammed by netizens after posting a series of videos of her dyeing her Maltese dog’s tail and ears lilac.

The gorgeous 31-year-old, real name Alexandra Chvikova, shared the footage on Instagram for her 650,000 followers.

The singer, who hails from the Ukrainian city of Donetsk, decided to dye her dog Mia’s ears and tail lilac.

In the footage, the Maltese dog is seen having the dye brushes into its fur as a voice in the background claims that it won’t harm the animal and that the colour will wash out with a single bath.

However, Alexa’s followers were largely unimpressed with her dog grooming videos and one netizen said: “Oh my God, how stupid. You are silly and empty, please at least leave the dog alone. With so much money could do something that would actually help people! Do something real in your life.”

Another social media user wrote: “I see a lot of people have nothing to do in self-isolation. Why not work from home or try to learn a foreign language or something?”

According to local media, Alexa was recently criticised online after she started dating her fitness instructor Vyacheslav Daychev who split from his pregnant fiancee to be with the singer.
