This footage shows a small dog in south-eastern China having the cosiest of motorbike rides as it sits in the back in a basket wrapped up in a blanket like a burrito.

The ride, which the little dog appears to be enjoying so much that it almost falls asleep, was filmed by another biker named Mr Zhong in local media. It was filmed in Guangzhou, in China’s Guangdong Province, on 11th December.

In the video, the dog can be seen on an electric scooter wrapped up in a blanket to keep warm.

The pooch appears to be comfortable in its swaddle as shown by the fact that it begins dozing off several times.

Mr Zhong said that he pulled up alongside the unnamed woman afterwards, and she revealed that she had been raising the dog for the past 18 years.

As it gets older, it can no longer stand the cold weather as easily as before, so its owner wants to protect it as much as she can.

Mr Zhong said he was very moved by the woman’s gentle caring, and later shared the video with other touched netizens on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

And user ‘Morning Star’ wrote: “Eighteen years old, it seems that the dog must have lived a very happy life. I am really happy to see this owner. I hope they can accompany each other longer.”
