DOG-NAPPED: Maltipoo Puppy Reunited With Family After Violent Mugging By Young Woman

A young woman has been arrested in California after she was caught on camera violently assaulting a dog owner and stealing the one-month-old puppy she was carrying.

The brutal dognapping involving the young dog, named Baby Moon, was caught on CCTV footage obtained by Newsflash which shows the animal’s pet shop owner being violently assaulted in order to steal the dog in broad daylight on 30th January.

The victim, named Rosa Munoz in local media, who runs the local Planet Pet Shop, even ended up being pepper sprayed by the attacker during the tussle.

The violent altercation ended with the suspect throwing the dog’s owner on the ground before running off with her one-month-old pet.

The stolen puppy was a Maltipoo, a mix between the Maltese and the Poodle, with a small stature, a rounded head, and floppy ears that give them a puppy-like appearance for most of their lives.

Bizarrely, another young woman who can be seen walking past them without reacting as she concentrates on what appears to be a mobile phone is now allegedly believed to have been an accomplice in the dognapping.

The victim’s son, Jesse Robles, told local media that Rosa suffered a broken hand while trying to protect her dog.

Jesse claimed that Baby Moon was sick prior to the incident and required special food and medication.

Police were able to track down the juvenile suspect, whose name and age were not revealed after numerous calls came in when footage of the attack was shared by the Bell Gardens Police Department.

Soon after, they returned the pup to its rightful owners following the arrest on 3rd February.

Local authorities from the Los Angeles area returned the dog to the owner, who claimed it was looking very skinny after spending days without its special treatment.
