This is the shocking moment a cat chases a much larger dog into a road with the poor pooch than being hit and sent flying by a passing motorbike.

The incident took place in the Konyaalti district of Antalya Province, in south-western Turkey, with the cat seen walking on a pavement on the busy street, as cars zoom passed.

A dog can be seen coming in the opposite direction, with the cat suddenly chasing after it.

The dog takes fright despite being larger than the tiny feline and runs out into the busy road, where it is hit by a passing motorcycle and sent flying off-screen.

Turkish media reported that the dog died in the incident and that the motorcycle rider, who has not been named, was injured.

The cat however ran back safe and uninjured to the pavement where it sat down and tried to look innocent as panicked passers-by ran over to give help to the injured biker and check on the badly injured dog that later died.
