Doctor Sets Ablaze Boyfriends House And Kills Him And Parents

An Indonesian doctor is facing a possible death sentence for setting her boyfriend’s garage alight, killing him and his parents.

The alleged arson attack took place at the suspect’s home in the city of Tangerang in the Indonesian province of Banten on the evening of 6th August.

The doctor, identified as M.M., aged 30, was reportedly arrested for killing her boyfriend L.S., 35, and his parents E.S. and L.T., ages not reported.

She allegedly set ablaze the garage, part of a shop-house with the owners living on the upper floors, with gasoline.

The building was reportedly ravaged by flames and the boyfriend’s two siblings managed to get to the third floor and survive the fire.

However, three people died in the blaze and the suspect was quickly arrested.

According to local media, she told the police that she started the fire because her partner’s parents did not approve of them being together.

She also said that she was pregnant with the victim’s child, however, it is unclear if this has been confirmed.

Police spokesperson Zazali Haryono said on 11th August that the suspect has been charged with premeditated murder, which comes with a maximum penalty of the death sentence.

The investigation continues.
