This is the shocking moment an elderly hospital patient is being attended by doctors as one staff member holds an umbrella to shield them from water pouring in from the collapsed ceiling.
According to reports, the roof of the General Hospital of Culiacan in the north-western Mexican state of Sinaloa collapsed during a period of storms and eight patients had to be moved to other wards while repairs got underway.
In the video shared on Twitter and viewed 232,000 times, a team of doctors and nurses is seen attending an elderly patient as one of them holds an umbrella over his bed.
Meanwhile, rainwater is gushing into the room from the leaking roof.
State health secretary Efren Encina Torres told local media that the storms caused the roof to partially collapse and water affected the A&E unit.
He also said that the roof has since been repaired and the hospital, built 30 years ago, is now operating normally.
Torres added that a new hospital is under construction in the city that will be three times bigger than the General Hospital of Culiacan.
Meanwhile, local media said that recent health cuts imposed by the Mexican government have seen payment delays and hold ups to surgeries and treatments.
