This is the moment a diner apparently finds a cockroach leg in their soup just minutes after reportedly spying another creepy-crawly on the drinks machine.

The incident was filmed by diner Izhar Che Jamil at the Restaurant Pak John Steamboat in The Curve shopping centre in the western Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

According to Jamil, his dining experience began with him spotting a cockroach on the side of a drinks machine inside the restaurant.

He explained: “I paid 50 MYR (9.3 GBP) and then saw a cockroach on the drinks machine.”

Following the encounter, Jamil told an employee about the cockroach who sent a colleague to deal with the insect.

Thinking that was the end of it, Jamil sat down at his table and was served a tom yum soup. However, he allegedly quickly spotted what appeared to be an insect leg floating in his soup.

Jamil said: “If spotting the cockroach was not enough, I then found a leg in my tom yum soup.”

He added: “Hi guys. Here’s a special extra to double confirm that it is a leg indeed! What would you do if you were in my shoes?”

It is unclear whether Jamil has reported the incident to the local authorities after initially warning netizens about the establishment and asking them for advice on what to do next.
