This is the moment two food deliverymen are secretly filmed eating pizza from two boxes before arranging the other slices in order to cover their tracks and setting off on their motorbike.

The incident was filmed by a stunned resident in the district of San Isidro in the western Peruvian capital Lima and was later shared on Facebook where it has been viewed nearly 90,000 times.

In the footage, the two couriers are seen eating pizza from the boxes before appearing to manipulate the other slices to make it seem like a complete order.

According to local media, the on-demand delivery company Rappi have dismissed the two deliverymen involved, although they said that the pizzas were cancelled by the customer and on their way back to an operation centre at the time.

The company said in a statement that they regretted the video’s circulation on social media and denied being involved in “any kind of manipulation” regarding the incident.

While admitting that the deliverymen should not have consumed the pizza, Rappi stated: “Cancelled orders should be returned to our operation centres in the same condition so they can be discarded.

“The video shows the manipulation of a cancelled order before it was returned, an act that should not have occurred which is why these workers are no longer involved with the company.”
