DEBRIS DAMAGE: Emergency Services Assess California Flood Devastation

This is the moment California intelligence services conduct a debris assessment over the heavily flooded areas surrounding Lake Nacimiento and San Joaquin River.

Emergency service crews put the Fire Integrated Real-time Intelligence System (FIRIS) to work in order to estimate the total damage caused by the recent severe storms that hit California.

Aerial footage shot above Lake Nacimiento shows debris and detached boat docks being carried away by the overflown water.

An especially large dock appears to be free-floating in the middle of the lake, close to the water dam.

Another video filmed from the air shows the aftermath in Stanislaus County as FIRIS crews surveyed the situation around the San Joaquin River.

Numerous farms and small buildings seemingly became submerged when the river spilt out onto the surrounding area.

Both videos were taken on 17th January but released on the following day.

Repair work and damage control are continuously being carried out all over the flooded areas of California.
