Deadbeat Dad Of Two Who Cut Hardworking Partner Into 25 Pieces With Black And Decker Angle Grinder Gets Life In Jail

A father of two who cut his partner into dozens of pieces using a Black and Decker angle grinder before cooking some of the body parts has been sentenced to life in jail.

It is unclear if any of the parts were actually eaten, but the court in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires heard that only 70 percent of her body was ever found.

The court sentenced jobless Waldo Servian Riquelme, 34, to life in jail for the femicide of his hardworking partner Mirtha Liliana Gonzalez Ayala, 37, in March 2019.

The trial, which began on 31st October, culminated with the sentence being handed down to the man described as a layabout who lived off his partner’s earnings yesterday (Monday, 13th December).

The Paraguayan-born killer, who maintained his innocence to the end, is believed to have cut the mother of his two children into 25 pieces with a Black and Decker angle grinder and a large kitchen knife.

The crime took place in the family’s residence in the shantytown of Villa 31 in the neighbourhood of Retiro in the Argentinian capital.

The couple’s children, then aged eight and 11, were staying with their paternal aunt at the time.

When cops entered the property, they found the missing woman’s body parts strewn around the place, with the coroner later noting that some of the remains had been half cooked.

The coroner also noted that the woman’s arms, hands and feet, which were found in the bathtub, showed defensive wounds. He gave the cause of death as suffocation.

Only 70 percent of the body parts were ever found. The victim’s heart and intestines, for example, have not been located to this day.

Fingerprints found at the scene pointed to the woman’s partner as the perpetrator. However, by the time he had been identified as the prime suspect, he had fled to Paraguay.

He handed himself in to the authorities two months later. However, he denied committing the crime. He was sent to prison in the Argentinian town of Marcos Paz to await trial.

Witnesses called upon by the police described the suspect as extremely jealous, a male chauvinist, a layabout and a hustler who treated his partner badly and did not work himself, preferring to live off her earnings.

The defendant’s defence lawyer had argued for his client to be acquitted, claiming a Paraguayan builder had also been considered a suspect and had not been thoroughly investigated.

However, the presiding judges had no doubts that the evidence clearly pointed to Servian as the perpetrator of the crime.
