A cabbie has found a dead baby inside a public toilet while investigating the porcelain bowl clogged with ‘water and blood’, as seen in this disturbing image.

Taxi driver Wan Subhi Wan Jusoh, 54, and three of his friends went into the toilet to investigate after a cleaner had found the toilet bowl filled with the murky red mixture on the morning of 23th September.

Police were called to Kuantan Sentral Terminal in the city of Kuantan, capital of Malaysia’s eastern state of Pahang, with authorities confirming the discovery of a premature baby boy’s body inside the public toilet.

The cabbie told local media: “When flushing the toilet, the water spilled out.

“At first, we thought someone threw a sanitary pad, but upon checking, we saw an umbilical cord.

“One of us used a wire to remove the umbilical cord. Even after removing the cord, the toilet was still clogged.

“We suspected there must be a baby trapped since there was an umbilical cord and contacted the police.”

ACP Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali, chief of Kuantan District police, revealed that CCTV footage from the bus terminal has captured a woman entering the toilet just before 6am local time with a suitcase.

The main suspect dressed in ‘baju kurung’ – Malaysia’s national dress – re-emerged half an hour later, the police chief said.

The toilet in question had been shut from public use due to maintenance work since 19th September, he added.

The newborn boy’s corpse is currently being kept at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital, where an autopsy has been scheduled in order to determine further information such as a cause and precise time of death.

Kuantan authorities are looking for the suspect and have asked the public for any information regarding the woman’s identity or whereabouts.
