The daughter of Antonio Logli, imprisoned for 20-years for killing his wife, says he is innocent and she is happy at the news that he is to marry her nanny in jail.

Alessia Logli is the 19-year-old daughter of Roberta Ragusa, who disappeared from the village of Gello, in the western Italian commune of San Giuliano Terme on January 13th, 2012.

Alessia, who was just 11 when her mother went missing, recently gave a candid interview on the Italian television programme ‘Live Non e la D’Urso’, saying she believes her father Antonio Logli, sentenced to 20 years for her murder, is innocent.

Alessia said: “I leaned on my dad, he helped me to grow and mature, like my grandparents and my friends who have always supported me. I strongly believe in his innocence, I think it’s a mistake. I’ve had a thousand thoughts, it’s impossible to know where my mother is.

“I’ve always had so many doubts, but I’ve never given myself an answer. Until I have proof that she is dead, I think she is still alive.”

Logli has proposed to his long time partner and his daughter’s former nanny, Sara Calzolaio, whilst in prison.

Alessia said: “Dad approached the issue slowly because when I discovered that she, who was our nanny, was his mistress, I reacted badly. I was disappointed, it was not right.

It was not easy at first, then we moved on. I got to know her from another point of view, she has become close to me, she was my female figure of reference. I love her, I’m happy with the wedding. Without dad, life is more painful than before. I can only see him on video call because of COVID “.

Alessia recently became a model and reached the final of the Miss Grand Prix contest this year after she shared Instagram photos during the quarantine.
