This is the shocking moment a motorist films a grey-haired man apparently wiping a knife clean on the roadside before seconds later driving past a body lying in a pool of blood.

The incident was filmed by the motorist’s dash cam in the commune of Carmagnola in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the north-western Italian region of Piedmont.

According to local media, the victim, identified as labourer Valter Sanso, was stabbed by his farm boss, 52-year-old Luciano Cavallo.

Footage shows the suspect walking away from the victim’s body while appearing to wipe a knife clean of blood.

Sanso was an ex-convict who had been working in the area as a gardener and driver.

He was employed by the suspect when he was allegedly killed by him.

According to local media, Sanso served 12 years in prison for killing a man at a family event in January 1994.

He was released from prison in July 2007, but was arrested a year later at Lecce railway station when he beat a Moroccan man with a cane for stealing his mobile phone.

After allegedly being stabbed by his 52-year-old boss, Sanso was taken to hospital by helicopter but died a few hours after arriving.

Meanwhile, Cavallo has been arrested and remains in custody as the investigation continues, according to reports.
