A dad has been arrested for stabbing his daughter in the neck with a knife before burying her bloodied body in the garden with the blade intact after a row.

The incident took place in the city of Hurlingham in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires following a row between the 30-year-old victim and her 62-year-old father.

The victim, identified as Ariana Palacios, went missing on 28th August and her disappearance was later reported to the police by her friend.

The young mother of a six-year-old girl, who worked in a call centre, reportedly had an argument with her dad, identified as Willy Palacios, before he allegedly stabbed her in the neck and buried her in the garden.

According to local media, the dad, who works in a respected funeral parlour, allegedly made a number of contradictions in his initial statement before confessing to the killing.

The woman’s body was reportedly found by the authorities with the knife still in her neck.

The victim’s boyfriend Adrian claimed that upon asking her dad about her whereabouts her told the young man that his daughter no longer wanted a relationship with him and had left him.

When Palacios went missing, her friends said that they received messages from her that were out of character.

According to local media, they also alleged her father gave differing accounts about where she was and told them to stop looking for her.

The investigation is ongoing. It is currently unclear what the argument was about.
