This is the shocking moment a young dad wheeling a baby’s pram is shot dead in the middle of the street allegedly by his wife’s uncle after she popped into a shop.

The incident was filmed by a CCTV camera in the district of Corlu in the north-western Turkish province of Tekirdag when the victim, 19-year-old Alperen Kahraman, was out shopping with his wife Melisa Kahraman, 19, and their two-month-old baby daughter.

As seen in the footage, when the wife went into a shop, a gunman appeared and reportedly shot Kahraman multiple times in the head and abdomen.

The teenage victim died on the scene in front of his baby daughter.

Reports said that ricocheting bullets also hit two passersby in the legs.

The emergency services arrived and took the two injured passersby to the Corlu State Hospital. Meanwhile, Kahraman’s body was taken to the same hospital’s morgue to undergo an autopsy, according to local media.

The suspect, who is the wife’s uncle and named as Durmus S., fled the scene but was quickly apprehended by the police.

Reports said that he has so far refused to give a statement to the cops without his lawyer.

The family of Melisa Kahraman, formerly Sepetci, previously claimed that the victim kidnapped the 19-year-old woman in February 2019.

They reportedly appeared on a reality show dealing with family issues where Melisa revealed that she had not been kidnapped and had instead married Alperen Kahraman willingly.

The investigation continues.
