The father of the boyfriend of a teen who allegedly jumped to her death from her fifth-floor apartment has been arrested for incitement to suicide after he allegedly threatened to show nude photos of her to her family and friends.

The lifeless body of 18-year-old Aleyna Aggul was found in the stairwell of her apartment block in the Turkish city of Igdir on 30th September.

A note was found apparently penned by the victim attributing blame to her boyfriend’s father reading: “Gokhan Argin is responsible for my death”.

The victim had reported the 42-year-old man to the police on the day before her death for blackmail.

Earlier reports said the man had seen explicit footage of the teen on the mobile phone of his son, 18-year-old Gokturk Argin, with whom the young woman was reportedly in a relationship.

The dad allegedly told the young woman: “I have your photos and videos. If you disobey me, I will show them to your family and friends. Everyone will know what you’re like.”

Earlier reports said the dad then sexually abused her.

However, the latest media reports suggest the two had been having an affair, which had evidently turned sour by the time of the alleged threats and blackmail.

According to the news site Sabah, Gokhan Argin himself claimed he had been having an affair with the young woman.

After investigators examined the mobile phones and social media of the victim and suspects, Gokhan Argin’s arrest was ordered on charges of incitement to suicide, blackmail, deliberate injury, threat, insult and violation of privacy.

He was taken into preventive custody eight days after the body was found.

Both dad and son had previously been arrested, but were later provisionally released under judicial control – meaning they were only banned from going abroad – due to lack of evidence.

Earlier reports said the victim’s family believed the dad and son killed Aleyna and then threw her body from the building to make it look like suicide.

A protest over the young woman’s death in the Azerbaijani-majority city, which lies close to the border with Armenia, is due to take place this afternoon (8th October).
