This heartbroken dad has been left to care for three children on his own after his beautiful newlywed wife died giving birth to twin girls.

Radik Fathullin and Dilya Sabirovi tied the knot several weeks ago and the 33-year-old bride was recently admitted to hospital in the south-western Russian republic of Tatarstan to give birth to twins.

However, the young mum died shortly after giving birth to two baby girls.

According to Sabirovi’s unnamed friend, she went into labour ahead of time and had to be transferred to a hospital different to the one she had planned.

Reports said that she gave birth to the first girl naturally, but needed a C-section to deliver the second twin.

Her husband said that amniotic fluid got into Sabirovi’s blood which later led to a serious blood infection.

Reports said that Sabirovi first slipped into a coma before dying, leaving her husband to care for her three children alone.

Ten-year-old Amirkhan is reportedly the victim’s son from a previous relationship.

Local media said Fathullin is living in a rented flat and does not have much support available for raising the boy and his baby daughters.

His deceased wife only has a sister around and Fathullin’s friends are trying to raise money for the father in need to cope.

He named the twins Asylyar and Ayzilya as the couple previously planned.
