This is the moment a dad drives through busy traffic alongside his young son in a tiny toy car in an incident that is now being investigated by police.

The toy convertible was spotted by stunned locals in the Kazakh city of Almaty on 30th April, and netizens took to social media to slam the dad as reckless, with the police subsequently launching an investigation into the incident.

In the footage that backs up the fact that the dad took his son on the street in the toy, he is seen battling through the traffic in the tiny white toy car with his child by his side.

At one point, they are seen waiting at a traffic light before venturing across the busy intersection in the knee-high vehicle.

Kazakh netizens were outraged by the incident and lack of regard for the child’s safety and comments included “what a negligent attitude towards a child’s life” and “lorries would not be able to see them”.

Meanwhile, the local police have confirmed that they are aware of the footage and are currently trying to identify the driver of the toy car and where exactly the video was filmed.

The police said they will provide further details as they get them.
