The father of two girls aged 12 and 16 found out that they had both died instantly after their car crashed into a 130-foot deep ravine when he saw a news report about the incident on the TV.

The dad says when he saw the news report he started praying that his daughters weren’t in the car that was smashed to pieces after hitting the bottom of the deep ravine.

Alma Mia Molina, 12, and her sister Agustina Mia Molina, 16, died after Matias Bustos Reynoso, 32, who was driving with his older sister Antonela, 29, in the passenger seat lost control of the car and drove off a 131-foot cliff in Cordoba, Argentina on Tuesday (7th September).

According to local media Rolando Busto, the father of the two girls, is also the father of Reynoso who was reported to be Antonela and Agustina’s brother and Alma’s uncle.

Local news site TN reports the group were on their way back from a local hospital where three months pregnant Antonela, whose surname was not stated, had undergone an ultra-sound check.

For reasons that are currently unknown, Reynoso lost control of the Fiat Stylo at kilometre 54 on route E-54 near the city of Cordoba.

The two girls, who were sat in the back of the car and were both wearing seat belts, reportedly died at the scene whilst Reynoso and Antonela are in a stable condition but still being treated in hospital.

Rolando Busto, the father of the two girls, told the local news site El Doce: “I saw the report on the news and I started praying that it wasn’t my daughters.”
