This is the moment a dad tells his 10-year-old son to speed up and not to be “a wimp” as the youngster drives a car down a public road past an oncoming lorry.

The unnamed man recorded his son driving around the route of La Pampa, in the municipality of Speluzzi, in the central Argentina province of La Pampa. 

In the video, the dad can be heard saying “don’t be scared, wimp” before telling him to “speed up, wimp”.

The dad laughs as he says “a lorry is coming” and the other vehicle then speeds past them in the opposite direction. He then tells his son to avoid the curb “otherwise the tyre could break”.

The boy tells his dad he is stopping him from seeing the road when the father puts the camera in his son’s face.

The adult has to correct the youngster’s driving as he keeps moving towards the curb.

The video was shared online and published by local media, causing outrage.

According to local newspaper En Boca de Todos, the prosecutor Armando Aguero informed that authorities are investigating the case in order to find out the identity of the adult recording the scene. 

Nobody has been arrested, and reports state the man could face between 60 to 120 days in jail.
