This is the moment a concerned cyclist wakes up a young boy sleeping alone by the side of the road before escorting him home.

But when he got there instead of being thanked, he was given a mouthful of abuse by the child’s parents.

The incident was filmed in the town of Yuzhnouralsk in the Russian region of Chelyabinsk Oblast when the cyclist, name not disclosed, was on his way home from work.

The cyclist was riding home when he saw a boy sleeping on the side of the road with no one else around keeping an eye on him.

He woke up the young lad and walked him home where they encountered his parents.

However, instead of being happy to see their young son return home, they were reportedly rude and abusive to the cyclist and angry with the child.

As a result, the concerned cyclist reported the incident to the authorities and the public prosecutor’s office has confirmed that they are investigating the family and the boy’s wellbeing.

According to reports, the family claims social benefits and it is not the first time the boy has been found out and about alone.

In the footage, the cyclist is seen approaching the sleeping boy on the pavement before waking him up.

The young tot grabs his toy and gets to his feet before walking off in the direction of his home as the helpful man asks him questions.
