This is the moment a motorist chases a cyclist who hit his car with his bike and then realises he has bitten off more than he can chew when he is beaten up by the other man.

The confrontation took place in the middle of a dual carriageway after the motorist honked his horn at a cyclist who cut across him in traffic, leading to the annoyed biker picking up his bike and slamming it against his car.

The incident took place in the city of Higashiosaka in southern Japan’s Osaka Prefecture and the driver’s dashcam films the moment the cyclist gets off his bike, lifts it up into the air and slams it against the car.

The man then gets back on his bike and cycles off as the motorist jumps out of his vehicle to give chase on foot.

However, when he catches up with the man on the bike he finds his rival is much bigger than him and ready to make his point with his fists.

A motorcyclist, who had followed the pair through the traffic to see what would happen, filmed the scene with his smartphone as the cyclist repeatedly punched the car driver in the head and body.

The motorist was unable to defend himself but later took to Twitter, where he goes under the name of ‘Torenopannda’, to try to track down his attacker.

‘Torenopannda’ shared his dashcam footage on the social media platform and asked users to help identify the cyclist.

He said: “Has the world gone nuts? I warned the guy for running out into a busy street and he hit me with his bike. Everyone, please help me try to catch him.”

The motorcyclist, known as ‘Yoshito’ online, who filmed the one-sided fight, saw the tweet and replied: “I got it on video!!!”

‘Yoshito’ said he contacted cops after the attack but the cyclist had already fled before they could arrive on the scene.

A number of Twitter users asked ‘Torenopannda’ how he was after taking such a beating and he revealed he was going to hospital the following day for a check up.

There is no report on whether police have so far managed to catch up with the cyclist who is believed to still be at large. There is also no report on the motorist’s condition
