On 19th August this year, a municipal officer of the community of San Sebastian Rio Dulce in Oaxaca jailed another donkey to prevent its elderly owners from transporting wood for commercial sale.

The animal’s owners, 88-year-old Pascual Cruz and 86-year-old Alejandra Mejia, argued that they needed the donkey to carry wood for their own use.
