This is the moment viewed by nearly four million people that a dozen curious kitties form an adorable fan club as they gather at the window to watch an unwitting paddy farmer at work.

According to local media, the felines live in a ‘cat cafe’ called Yuzu no Ie in the town of Yurihonjo in the northern Japanese prefecture of Akita.

According to the owner, it is the only cat cafe in Japan that is situated next to a paddy field.

Two videos shared on Twitter by netizen ‘yuzu_kitty16’, seen 2.4 million and 1.5 million times respectively, show around a dozen cute cats gathered at the window to watch a farmer working the field in his tractor.

As the rice farmer goes up and down the paddy field, the curious cats watch every movement and even vie for better vantage points.

It appears to be a seasonal activity as other footage shows the cute cats watching the farmer apparently harvesting his crops too.

The footage also inspired someone to sketch a window filled with peering cats that was also shared on the viral Twitter uploads.

Meanwhile, the social media post attracted hundreds of comments from impressed netizens, such as “it is like they’re fans at a concert” and “they are giving the farmer a standing ovation at the end”.
