The panda twins at Berlin Zoo are now almost three months old and weigh in at almost five kilogrammes (11 lbs) each and are doing well.

The zoo confirmed that the pandas can now feed on their own and are developing well.

A zoo spokesman said: “The cubs are trying to crawl along. Soon they will be around to walk around.”

The panda twins were born on 31st August 2019 at the zoo to mum Meng Meng, weighing just 186 grammes (6.6 ozs) and 136 grammes (4.8 ozs).

Their nine-year-old dad ‘Jiao Qing’ has not been involved in the cubs’ rearing which is normal for giant pandas.

They have not been named yet.
