Turkish customs officials who took an interest in a bunch of amusing pictures of football legend Diego Maradona have discovered they were hiding bags of cocaine.
The officials at Istanbul Airport were shocked when they started looking at the Maradona pictures, prompting a sniffer dog to start barking.
A closer examination then revealed they had a false back with the drugs hidden inside.
In total, they confiscated almost 3 kilogrammes of cocaine hidden in the 12 photographs of the recently deceased football star.
They were reportedly being smuggled into the country by a 72-year-old German man originally from Croatia.
The man was arrested and remanded in custody and will not be out for a long time, according to the police.
He is facing drug trafficking charges as the investigation continues.
