Curvy Colombian influencer and Netflix star ‘La Segura’ has revealed that she has been suffering with severe panic attacks for over four years.
As many Colombian celebrities open up about their experiences with conditions such as depression and OCD, La Segura spoke about the panic attacks she suffers, calling them “one of the worst things a person can experience” on Instagram where she commands an army of 7.5 million followers.
She said: “I just had a terrible, and I mean terrible, panic and anxiety attack like I haven’t had in a long time.
“I’ve had moments when I’ve been anxious, but it is one thing to have anxiety and another to suffer a panic attack.
“Thank God I’m feeling much better. I thought I wasn’t going to come out, I swear. I was saying to my mind ‘everything is okay’, actually I don’t even know why it happened to me.”
Later, she said she was in the company of a couple of friends, and one of them helps her a lot when she goes through these kinds of episodes.
La Segura added: “One of the worst things someone can experience is a panic attack, I swear to you. Only people who have suffered this know.
“It is like you feel everything is bad, like an alarm is going off in your body.”
It was not the first time the influencer spoke about suffering with anxiety, and she released a YouTube video last year where she described her condition in detail.
La Segura, who is trying to launch a pop career with the release of the song ‘No Vuelvas’, appears in the Colombian Netflix series ‘The Unremarkable Juanquini’.
