This is the moment a curious husky takes a worker in a cumbersome panda costume for an unwanted run outside a shopping centre after spotting something in the distance.

The funny scene was filmed in the city of Wuxi in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu last week.

According to staff at the shopping centre, the dog, who is owned by a regular customer, took an interest in a worker wearing a panda costume who could not stop themself from holding the pooch’s lead as onlookers took photos of the cute pair.

The husky then saw something in the distance and made a dash for it, causing the worker to run along the plaza in the cumbersome costume.

Local media said the staff member was able to get their breath back after the dog completed two laps of the plaza.

In the amusing clip, the worker is seen holding the dog’s lead as it sits outside the shopping centre in front of a group of onlookers.

Something then catches the husky’s eye and it gets to its feet and makes a beeline for it, forcing the worker to run along the tarmac in the panda outfit.

At one point, the dog appears to drag the hapless worker with such force that it nearly causes them to fall over.

The video ends with the staff member still clinging onto the lead as the huge panda head nearly falls away from the rest of the costume.
