This is the moment a 15-year-old clumsily steers a car into a pedestrian and then a shop front because he was “curious” about driving.

The incident took place in the district of Osmangazi in the north-western Turkish province of Bursa when the 15-year-old, identified as M.A., ‘borrowed’ the shopkeeper’s car to attempt driving it.

As seen in the video footage, he then proceeded to drive into a pedestrian on the pavement before crashing into the shop.

The clumsy teen then panicked and promptly fled the scene.

According to local media, the car injured two pedestrians and caused substantial material damage to the store.

Eyewitnesses called the emergency services and both victims were rushed to hospital. One of them is said to have suffered multiple injuries.

The cops launched an investigation and soon tracked down M.A., who was arrested.

However, after giving his statement, the public prosecutor’s office requested that the boy be released.

The teenager said that he did not mean to cause an accident and was curious about driving a car.

The panicked boy admitted that he ran away afterwards out of fear.
