Sexy Cuban actress Lis Vega has responded to “Stone Age” critics that she has undergone too many cosmetic ops by insisting that “it is a personal choice”.

During an interview with the Mexican newspaper ‘El Universal’, the 42-year-old actress talked about her full lips and the criticism she receives from online haters about her ‘enhanced’ look.

She said: “I love having full lips. Science is progressing and we should not live in the Stone Age, we have to take advantage of everything this era gives us.

“My body is earthly and borrowed. Whatever I decide to do with it for as long as I have it, presuming it makes me feel good, is my personal choice.”

Vega added: “Obviously there are people who like how I look otherwise my social media following would not be growing so much!”

The Cuban actress’ Instagram profile has over 812,000 followers.

A recent photo of Vega flaunting her thick lips was ‘liked’ over 11,000 times.

She wrote: “If you knew me from a year ago then you do not know me at all. I am constantly evolving, let me introduce myself again.”

Netizen ‘lawera97’ responded: “You have ‘evolved’ with too much Botox! You used to be beautiful…”

‘Jorgeligio’ said: “You have lost a lot with your physical changes.”

Vega married actor Federico Diaz in 2008, but the marriage ended after only four months when he told her he was gay and was rumoured to be in a romantic relationship with singer Ricky Martin.

In February 2013, she married Chilean Mauro Rivero after dating for only one month.
