Crying Maid Kicked Out By Employer Who Hurt Her

This is the moment a migrant maid is seen crying on the ground and shouting “you hurt me” after reportedly being kicked out by her employer.

The unnamed domestic worker, who is reportedly of Indonesian nationality, was recorded after she had been thrown ínto the corridor outside an appartment in the city-state of Singapore by a neighbour.

In the video, the woman can be seen crying on the ground and shouting “You hurt me” in English.

In the second video, the woman recording, named as netizen ‘Mitch A Bern’, can be seen going down to the maid who is crying as she packs her bags.

The witness wrote online: “such a Cruel employer … Look at this poor young indonesian girl … she’s working almost 6 months in her employer but the employer not good. she’s struggling giving not enough food and wake up early and no Off DAY … so we try to help her ate (sic).”

In a second post, the netizen claimed the domestic worker had not had breakfast or lunch that day.

The local Centre for Domestic Employees (CDE) said they had contacted the maid and the authorities about the issue.

A police investigation into voluntarily causing hurt against a domestic worker has been launched and is ongoing.

A study in 2017 from Research Across Borders reportedly showed that 60 percent of foreign domestic workers in Singapore had suffered some form of abuse.
