CRASHING IN: Moronic Moment Pedestrian Pretends To Be Hit By Car

This is the moronic moment a drunken pedestrian falls on a stationary car in an apparent crash for cash scam.

Security cameras captured bizarre video footage showing the would-be scammer pretending to have been hit by the car in the middle of a street in Turkey.

The footage shows the car braking as the man – identified as Fevzi D. – staggered into the road in Giresun Province, in the Black Sea Region, north-eastern Turkey, on 14th October.

But instead of continuing on his way, Fevzi D. threw himself onto the bonnet of the stationary car as if he had been knocked down.

Then – when that did not get him any attention – he slid down the bonnet onto the tarmac where he apparently tried to look as if he was unconscious.

Baffled passers-by and the driver, named as Levent Erener, 47, approached to help as the footage ends.

Passers-by then alerted emergency crews to check if Fevzi D. had suffered any injuries.

But he reportedly ran off after telling them: “I don’t have anything. I feel alright.”

Eyewitnesses who were present at the time said they could not understand what Fevzi D. was attempting to achieve.

Driver Erener told local media: “He intended to cross the street so I honked at him to let him know that he can cross.”

The 47-year-old driver added: “At first I thought he was sick when he leaned against the bonnet. I thought it was an epileptic seizure or a heart attack.

“When I got out of my car and went to him, I smelled alcohol. I found out that he is an alcoholic. … I found out that he was drunk.”

“He hit his head hard as he fell to the ground. Hopefully, nothing happened.

“After the incident, I went to my house because the police officers said I can go.”

It is unclear if the police are investigating the matter further.
